Shamrock Mission

The Vermont Shamrocks bring together some of the most competitive hockey players from all across New England and New York.  The goal is to provide a high level of hockey while promoting participation at the local level.  The emphasis is on skill development and teamwork by fostering a spirit of cooperation and unity, as well as individual self-growth.   We create a fun environment which focuses on important values such as sportsmanship, friendship, and love of the game.  The lesson at the end of the day is that succeeding is really more about how they play the game – win or lose.

10U WHITE RUNNER-UP AT JAY PEAK

The 10U White team also had great success at the Green Mountain Avalanche tourney at JAy Peak over the Memorial Dday weekend.  The club rolled through the opening of the round robin play starting with the convincing 7-1 win over the VT STars and continues with a 4-0 whitewashing of the Oil Kings and dropping the NVW team 4-1 to secure their place in the finals.  Their only loss was to undefeated North Country Blades in a tight 3-1 game.  In the rematch in the Finals, the team batttled hard but fell 3-2 to the Blades to earn second place.  NExt up is the Stars tourney in Burlington later in June.

The 16UAA Vermont Shamrocks finished 5-1 at USA Hockey Nationals in Troy Michigan, losing 3-1 in the National Championship game to a tough Alaska North Stars.

The Shamrocks come home as New England Champions and with the USA Hockey silver medal. This medal is the Shamrock association's 4th USA Hockey National Championship medal; having won 16U gold in 2013, 16U bronze in 2015, and 19U gold in 2016.

It was a great post season for a super group of student-athletes and coaches.

Great job 'Rocks!
